About Eternal E-Mail...

The lists that appear in this section are made available for anyone who needs information on certain topics or who would like to participate in discussion groups. The way they work is that a list "owner" maintains a mailing list of the email addresses of people who join their list. To join is to "subscribe" to the list by sending the appropriate message to the owner's address. You may un subscribe at any time, according to the list's proper procedure.

Some lists are called "read-only" lists. In these, posts are made to the entire group for informational purposes, but you cannot send a comment or reply to all of the members. Other lists are interactive or discussion lists, in which you can send a post of your own or reply and comment to the entire group or an individual member.

Please see each entry that is made here for the instructions for subscribing to a list. Also, carefully read the procedures that the list owner will send to you and be sure you understand their policies. We hope that you find much valuable information and even more fun among Eternal Email!

For more explanations on how the Internet works, please see Magicpub's Netprimer at Netprimer

Bookgroup on majordomo@ml.rpmdp.com
How many times have you read a book that was so good that you tried to get everyone you knew to read it? Or how about the book that you just didn't understand? Or the one that all the critics loved and you just couldn't figure out why? A reading group can help with all these scenarios and more. The real beauty of a reading group is that no two people see things in the same way. You get the benefit of other people's viewpoints and interpretation during the group discussion.

A reading group can be set up to meet a wide variety of needs. There may be groups that only read nonfiction, others for romance novels and still others for classics. This group I hope can meet all of the above. Therefore we let the members of the group choose the books they would like to read. I will submit a new reading list about every six months. We read two books a month from the 1st to 15th and from the 16th to the end of the month. The main rule should be to enjoy the group!

To subscribe send an email to majordomo@ml.rpmdp.com with "subscribe bookgroup" in the message.
