What's New at Moondance

Life's little bumps in the road...

Dear Loyal Reader,

I imagine you noticed the mini-disaster that befell Moondance last issue. Although we did manage to publish our edition, we did so very late. More than a month late, in fact, which means you were probably getting, shall we say, antsy.

I'm afraid the fault lay principally with me. More specifically, life threw me several curve balls at publication time, all of which converged to make doing my job here nearly impossible. Out of nowhere, life became very complicated, unpredictable, even painful. I will certainly not bore you with the tedious details; all that matters is the end result.

Our unusually long delay in publication means most departments have decided to keep the previous issue alive for the September/December issue. Consider this, then, a double issue.

I do believe our editors have a nice lineup of stories and articles for the upcoming Sovereign issue, expected December 21st.

I do, however, apologize for the major snafu with the Magician issue. I am still recovering from the effects my personal life had on Moondance, but I am working the problem. I hope you will forgive me.

All of this, however, has clearly demonstrated a problem that has existed for years: I have no assistant, and the Design department is short-staffed. The assistant issue may be solved soon enough, but if you know even rudimentary HTML, I could use you help! Interested?

The Return...

It gives us great pleasure to bring back a section I thought might never come back: Inspirations!

Personally, I always considered Inspirations one of my favorite sections because it does exacty what it promises: it's "motivational, spiritual, religious, and [even] philosophic". Welcome back, Inspirations! I hope she lives on thanks to the submissions you, Dear Reader, will deluge us with.

On behalf of the Moondance staff, Happy reading!
