Inspirations Table of Contents by Lesley Smyth I was admiring the patterns of the breeze as it danced amongst the long stalks of grasses. Something about that dance immediately calms my soul. And when the soul is calm it can hear things it never heard before. ...the field whispered in my ear,"Come closer. There is something else you must see." The wind took me by the hand and called my eyes amongst the swaying grasses. "Look with your heart." It said. And my heart showed me the divine smiling in each and every blade. by Asoka Selvarajah Mystery Schools once existed throughout the Ancient World -- Greece, Egypt, India, China, South America. These spiritual centres provided a place where students could receive a mystical education by progressing through a series of spiritual trials and initiations. The goal was to provide seekers with the highest levels of spiritual realization--to understand the deep truths of existence, the cosmos and human life. Initiates of the Mysteries were credited with wisdom, as well as great magical and occult powers. by Sarah Stockton My daughter’s dreams often involve yelling for help and no one comes and no one hears her, while she is being chased or captured. The images evoke primal fears of abandonment, of anger, of terror. I have more primal dreams sometimes, too, though they usually involve fear for my children, not for myself. For my deepest concerns at this point in my life are not just about whether or not I’m prepared for the challenges of making a success of my own life, but whether I can be an adequate protector, provider of shoes and banisher of evil demons in my children’s lives, if not in their dreams.
