Fall
by Joni Hendry

Chilly October morn,
sweet aroma of fallen leaves
decaying.
Bright splashes,
red, gold
adorn outstretched limbs,
clinging.
Frost conceals
once emerald grass,
crunchy.
Swirling clouds scatter
inviting bright sun,
dazzling.
Beauty of the day vanishes
cold days of autumn,
crisp.
