michaela a. gabriel, born 1971, lives in vienna (austria) with her boyfriend of over 9 years and earns her living as a web designer. a passionate traveller and "communication junkie", she needs people, music and books, and calls herself a "moon-child". nobody has been able to stop her since she wrote her first poem at 13. preferring english to german, most of her poetry is not written in her mother tongue. her poems have appeared in several magazines, both in print and online, e.g. in "gangway", "savoy magazine", "mefisto", and "samsara". michi, as she likes to be called, is editor of the german edition of "niederngasse" and very active in internet poetry forums.
