Mariposazul writes to release all those things we
think about but never say because, well, it isn't deemed appropriate or
acceptable by
whomever. As a woman, she finds herself shuting up too much, or not
saying anything in situations in which she needs to speak up in. She's
been writing poetry since she was in third grade, and has been published
in 'Cipactli', the literary journal for the La Raza department at San
Francisco State University. Currently she's working on getting into a
special major (combining La Raza with Women Studies and English) MA
program and exploring the fun-filled world of temp work.
