The Dance
Two old souls dance in a shimmering light,
Old embers of an eternal flame.
Colorful firefly sparks brighten the night.
Twilight lamps glow softly as love ignites,
Sighing for a love that has no fame.
Two old souls dance in a shimmering light.
Older then earth each chants delight.
Singing of mysteries that never came.
Colorful firefly sparks brighten the night.
Wandering as they can never come into sight.
Gatekeepers watch at the door's silver frame.
Two old souls dance in a shimmering light.
Love all consuming knows of their plight.
Doomed eternally to play this game.
Colorful firefly sparks brighten the night.
Sadness deepens the embers hue as mighty
Souls quest for one another in vain.
Two old souls dance in shimmering light
As colorful firefly sparks brighten the night.
