			     Thursdays

			My day off is poetry day
			when I read Denise Levertov
			on organic forms
			or The Will To Change
			by Adrienne Rich
			and try to write a poem or two.
			It's also laundry day.
			Clean socks would be missed
			but no one would notice
			if I didn't write a poem.
			They wouldn't say
			"What's going on?
			No poem today?
			It's Thursday."
